Bring tents into our town will make this like Skidrow, California. You’re enabling this “asylum shelter” for drug users a safe spot to consume more drugs, a safe haven for criminals to commit crimes in the neighbourhood and go into hiding. The shelter in Kanata is even worse. Setting it up near a daycare where there are young children and workers safety are being jeopardized. This shelter will increase the likelihood of thise nearby to fall victim to Rape, Sexual Assualt, and other potential crimes that those “Asylum Seekers” may commit from the basis of past records that has happened across Canada.

We do not have the community infrastructure and services to support this use.

I oppose the construction of the proposed tenant development in Burhaven for the following reasons: 1. Increased Traffic Congestion: The development is likely to lead to a significant rise in local traffic, exacerbating congestion on our already busy streets. 2. Strain on Local Infrastructure: Our community's infrastructure, including schools, healthcare facilities, and public services, may not be equipped to handle the additional demand from new residents. 3. Impact on Community Character: The scale and design of the proposed development could alter the unique character of Burhaven, affecting the quality of life for current residents. 4. Safety Concerns: The increased density and traffic raise concerns about safety, especially for pedestrians, families, and children in our neighborhood.

This is poor planning! The highest concentration of the Jewish population live only blocks away, in Craig Henry! House these people in Rideau Hall! Trudeau has ruined this country allowing way too many immigrants in! We can’t even get health care or housing for people in Ottawa! And now you’re adding even more homeless people and putting even more pressure on our broken health-care system. Shame on Trudeau! ,

One of the largest Jewish communities lives in Craig Henry area. Why would you even THINK of putting a tent in the backyard? We DO NOT NEED ANOTHER AMSTERDAM! No to the sportsplex tent. The city planners do NOT have the correct location!

Crime is already steadily increasing in Barrhaven. The introduction of these encampments will only increase this problem. This is not a viable solution, short or long term and should not be allowed.

This is an absolute terrible idea, I want nothing to do with this.

We are seriously concerns about the Sprung tent in a city wide , Kanata & Barrhaven have high density of population , shortagr of housings , prices are gougong, health care crisis are seriously concerns therefore , Barrhaven & Kanata are not suitable place to build. City needs to think about huge side effect in the future. No tent , no to Kanata & Barrhaven

No tent in Barrhaven community if federal government really want to welcome refugees and new immigrants to comprised our safety and security please immediately stop the Tent policy.

Not true that these sprung structures will accommodate new commers only. They will quickly become homeless shelters with all related drug and mental health issues. The mayor says Ottawa has helped in the past so, Ottawa has already done enough off to other cities now. Shame on you mayor Sutcliff to distract from the related problems that will flourish from tents.

je crois qu’un meilleur plan d’hébergement devrait être élaboré et mis en œuvre stratégiquement pour faciliter l’introduction stratégique des réfugiés au Canada. Et, je dirais avec une meilleure répartition des nouveaux arrivants pour aider à peupler les communautés en déclin et pas seulement dans les grandes villes.

I am deeply concerned about the plan to establish a shelter for asylum seekers in Barrhaven. I support this petition to find a better location Instead of choosing Barrhaven.
