Please do not erect this shelter in Barrhaven. We have already seen exponential growth leading to increased crime and now we’re going to add a tent to it? We dont have enough police in the area as it is! Please, I beg you, don’t do this. Signed An immigrant who made it ON MY OWN!

Enough enough enough!!!!!! I live very close to this proposed tent community and strongly disagree with this site this country has allowed entry for way to many of these so called asylum seekers. This city must include all of us home owners in Barhaven to be a part of the decision making process so let's be responsible Ottawa the mayor and our councellors to fully study all options Our home values will be affected and the temporary never mean temporary with the way our politicians operate

Barrhaven can’t accommodate more people on the streets and stores. No planning for this I fear.

There's a nice ice pad in front of city hall where they can put up a nice big tent.

People need real homes not to be housed in such structures. Barrhaven cannot support the number of people coming into the community without mental, health, and all other social support required. Build affordable homes so people have dignity and can become part of the wonderful community of Ottawa. A tent on a plot of land in barrhaven is not the answer!

New comers should not be put directly into the middle of a community like ours. They likely come from places that have given them trauma from warring parts of the world. The tent can perhaps be a bit out of barrhaven but still close enough to amenities while they assimilate into our society. The current tent going up is within walking distance to no more than 10 mins to two big high schools and a host of elementary schools. Culturally speaking they are new to our society and what's accepted here culturally they might not be used to since they newly arrived. It puts our children at risk. I support the intent of building a tent further out perhaps to the open areas west of the 416 and south of kanata away from all our communities. I do not support building directly Into any of our neighborhoods

Canadians are kind and generous and it is the human thing to do to help these people, but in the appropriate location with proper support and services. Barrhaven is not this place.

Send them back to wherever they came from. Liberals doubled the national debt, there is no money or housing left for migrants
