I have lived in Barrhaven for over 20 years and it pains me to say that I have watched it decline from a safe, affordable and robust community into one which borders on unaffordable, dangerous, and filled with a fragmented populous. In short, the city should focus its limited resources on solving the domestic problems which are already underfunded and poorly managed before allocating hard-earned tax-payer money on bringing in and poorly sheltering individuals who will inevitably require additional support down the line.

How are male refugees being security vetted: Are criminal checks being made and enforced?
Refugees/Immigrants need middle class jobs not handouts; houses not tents. Suggest government improve the economy and middle class jobs for all as a precedent constraint.

This will bring great impacts to local community. City should be more transparent and provide more information and seek more consultation with local residents.

Maybe the city of Ottawa could prove that they've veted these people for criminality, mental health and disease first. Maybe they could demonstrate why they should put them in a suburban community where there weren't even enough summer jobs to go around this year and most university students remained under employed or unemployed.

No tents in Barrhaven. The value of our homes will be reduced. I have concerns for public safety.
