PG&E says we need a substation to support growth. The Watsonville corridor is a rural road surrounded by vineyards, ranches and beautiful countryside enjoyed by all who drive, cycle, live, and visit here. Where is this growth they are talking about? It's not out in the Watsonville corridor. The City of Gilroy has operated as little more than a puppet of developers as they add endless square miles of mindless and unsustainable growth. Let the city and it's developers take responsibility for the burden they create and contribute land inside city limits at their own expense. Don't steal land from people who have worked hard for what they have and have the right to what they've earned. While it may be easier for PG&E to go after a few property owners rather than battle deep pocketed developers, it is unacceptable to take someone's property by force. And that is in fact what imminent domain is. An act of force, Placing a substation in the Watsonville/Wine Country corridor would be a travesty. A loss for everyone.

The sites suggested are rural and beautiful, putting in the substation is not a good location for it here. Haven't we come so far as to do something ecology successful, and beautiful and good for our environment? If must maybe by the freeway, better solar, best?

We dont need another fire in our area. PG&E started a fire a few years back while installing the new transmission lines over Armsby Lane.

There is open land in the industrial areas of Morgan Hill and Gilroy. Why not put it there? Why build it where people go to get away from the city for the day?

I am against the building of a substation near Watsonville Rd or a substation near Sycamore and Armsby.

Wine trail. Water supply limitations for neighborhood. Many million dollars residential properties. Scenic views. Expand current Morgan Hill site and prevent deterioration of county's valuable countyside.

Please don't ruin the rural feel and look of Morgan Hill with a huge substation.

Sycamore drive is zoned as scenic and requires all residents to have a scenic setback of 100ft from the road - how is a power plant scenic?

Hope we will have a say! PG&E generally does it's own thing. They are removing one tree after another in a park in Almaden that my grandkids play in all the time.

I believe that the creation of a PG&E power station will create more harm in the community surrounding the site, than it is worth.

Do not want any substation near our seanic country side where people come to enjoy winery's wildlife etc. We do not have the infrastructure to support such a facility i.e. Fire protection water etc. substation needs to be built next to existing substation or out in the flatlands near tilt on and Santa teresa

This is not a good idea and will ruin one of the few places we have left like this. Please do not build this site.

Please don't ruin our lovely rural community! I have lived on Armsby Lane for 40 years- and have never enjoyed our area more-we often have out of town guests come and enjoy taking them from our home to local winerys. They are so impressed with our lovely rural community and its natural beauty.
