No Canadian Based Solar Manufacturing Plant in Fort Mill

Silfab published FAQS states that their processes does not produce greenhouse gas. Their company literature states they are committed to reduce Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. Which is correct? Silfab also states in their FAQS that they did a study on traffic impact and determined that their operations were of no impact to traffic on Hwy 21. Didn't mention 800 additional vehicles. Whoever did the study our county representative stated it was done on approximately 100 yards of road between the traffic light at Food Lion and the light at the DMV (entrance to the location) on Hwy 21 Very suspicious that it does not impact more of Hwy 21. Our community is too small for a rezoned large manufacturing facility.

Additional traffic congestion would be terrible for our commuters, it’s impossible as it’s right now, never mind making it worse

Just say no to GREEN energy. Until we are energy independent again, this is not a priority and we need to focus on things we need in order to re-estabilish our national sovereignty as an independent nation and state. Solar is not it.

Don't want this plant neat my house. Traffic is already bad enough.

I live in the area immediately adjacent to the proposed location. We do NOT have the infrastructure to support a business this size, even after the proposed expansion of Hwy 21. That particular area is already heavily congested, and this will only add to the burden. Locate this business in an area that will not have such a huge negative impact on local residents. Furthermore, forget the tax breaks! You assess impact fees on residents, but then offset those additional revenues with tax breaks to large corporations. The corporate welfare at the expense of residential tax payers is ridiculous. STOP IT! Tell them, if they want to build at that location, they must pay for a 6 lane highway from Rock Hill to Carowinds. Then, when they walk away, wave goodbye! Let them screw up Charlotte some more, and let them leave Fort Mill alone.

To close to schools and peoples homes

Our roads cannot handle more traffic in this area. Please no more building & no more businesses here. It is very dangerous & the road ( 21) needs updating.

I am totally opposed to the Canadian solar company being so close to the community where I live. The traffic is already impossible . Please vote NO

Residential area means Residential. Other then unknown and unwanted environmental residue, permitting one large Commercial building leads to implied permission for others. Illegal or not! Infringing on residents rights

The traffic, pollution, environmental/eco system damage and sub-living wage level of jobs this plant would potentially bring to my neighbourhood is completely unacceptable.

Bad idea — way too much traffic and way too close to important areas where families live, shop, etc.

As a Regent Park resident, I am opposed to the development. Traffic and environmental issues in an already congested area. Very concerned about water pollution issues in making solar panels. Vote no on this!
