I am against this plant and all chemicals being near schools and me for that matter. I do not approve. SC needs to up their safety protocols to match other states where this factory would not even be a debate with or without the schools nearby.

Why would fort mill approve a toxic plant with explosive chemicals and environmental impacts to be but near schools or in the middle of a community?

This plant and the potential dangerous chemical hazards it will bring has no place in the middle of a congested residential area. DHEC should be ashamed for signing off on it.

This is very dangerous factory in residential area. Surely property prices in area will go down and residents needs to relocate because of health and safety hazards.

This is way too close to our home and my children's school. Even the slightest chance of chemicals being released so close to children in schools should have made the NO decision. But all they see is $$$$. Our kids matter!!!!!!!

Please consider what this will do to our town. These chemicals are proven to be extremely harmful - even cancerous. This will completely change the dynamic of the town we live in. People will not want to live here - our property value will go down. Ultimately, we will not be safe.

I grew up south of the dam in Fort Edward, NY. GE dumped PCB into the Hudson River and hundreds of people have died and continue to die of cancer attributable to those PCBs. On a regular bases we have seen what can go wrong at facilities such as these. The economic impact of this company does not outweigh the impact this company could have environmentally let alone the mass casualties that could occur if something major were to go wrong. Look no farther that New Indy and the negative impact that facility has had on our community. The presence of such a facility will also be detrimental to home values. The fact that a zoning change is even being considered with the proximity to a school is unconscionable. What the heck is the county thinking? This is certainly not looking out for the best interest of Fort Mill or York County. If this rezoning is approved I call the the resignation of everyone on the board. Certainly everyone voting is favor of such an atrocity should be soundly defeated at the polls. I think we all need to consider our legal recourse against such stupidly.

There is a place for hazardous chemicals and industrial properties but this is absolutely the wrong location.
