This type of manufacturing does not belong in this heavily populated area. There’s no reason for them to come here from Canada other than they don’t want this in their own hometown because they have better environmental laws.

This company has misrepresented itself from day one. It came in with a different name, then changed its petition from the distribution of solar panels to the manufacturing of solar panels, which is HEAVY manufacturing, not light as this area is zoned for. Highly toxic chemicals should not be allowed next to the 2 new schools being built here for ANY amount of money.

Fort Mill is too densely populated for this type of risk. The fallout from a possible accident could be catastrophic to this community.

“To whom it may concern,
The Board of Zoning Appeal made the RIGHT decision in the Silfab case.
We do NOT need, in our neighborhood, an employer who threatens lawsuits. Other sites in South Carolina are more suitable for this type of manufacturing operations. York County should not be afraid of any litigation from Silfab. The citizens of York County are united in making sure that our environment is not polluted by such a manufacturing process.
We INSIST that the county send Silfab a letter stating that, based on the BZA unanimous decision, solar panel manufacturing is not light Industrial and lacks support for a zoning change. Tell Silfab they will NOT be able to manufacture solar panels at 7149 Logistics Lane.
York County should not fear a lawsuit, because Silfab has been deceitful since the beginning, and continues to be deceitful. We continue to stand STRONGLY AGAINST the choice of this location.”

How can commitioners allow a Foreign entity risk our children's well-being so they can generate dollars? It's not even going to take some I'll person with a gun to destroy these kids just a vote by a commission in York County. Stop this Now and do something that benefits our area. I'm disappointed we haven't stopped this already.
Please this will only hurt our community.
I am 63 years of age and cannot believe this is happening a mile from my home. The Bible says to love each other! $$$ more than our children ? Silfab doesn't care about our kids health.

The risks of putting heavy manufacturing with the use of dangerous toxic chemicals in a residential area with schools next door are not worth the jobs and tax revenue. That location is inappropriate for this type of business.

Fort mill is NOT the place for this solar panel manufacturing plant, with several schools nearby and in a heavily populated area. GO BACK TO TRUDEAU!!
