I saw your signs, I live in Pinehurst and I'm insulted that we are not getting improvements to make us safer. We need one because of people from Franklin Rd. If they stop speeding and there will not be a need for any more roundabouts or stop signs or traffic lights. I don't like the barriers but they are important for drivers who take their big SUVs and Trucks and speed down and don't let me get out of my plan. If you don't like the Roundabout DON'T TAKE THAT ROAD! There are already speed limit signs and signs in our plan to go 25 but that is the problem, these morons can't read they still speed. The rumble strips are a joke, they are useless, traffic lights don't help either, people still drive fast as long as they see a green light, and try to beat it with a roundabout atleast our tax $ is going towards our safety. Take your stupid signs down.

I THINK WHEN ALL THE TRAFFIC FROM THE DAYCARE, THE PARK, THE CHURCH, AND SCHOOL BUSES AND EVERY DAY TRAFFIC COME THROUGH SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET HURT.

I too live in the Marshall Woods community and am glad that we're getting a roundabout. We only have one exit out of our community and it will be nice to see the traffic slow down to 5-10 miles per hour and I hope that they enforce it inside Marshall Woods too, specially during Summer when the kids are out playing. The bumps and strips do nothing to slow folks down; they just ruin your cars.
Jack is referring to the second round about coming on North Boundary at the exit of Howard Hanna; this will be to support the new Marketplace shopping center. All of these are a welcome addtion to our community. If you want to see a successful roundabout, go check out the one on 228 by Moe's, no one speeds there and the traffic just flows, Powell rd is not heavily used.
You don't like the daycare becuse of the traffic? any business will bring traffic. with two little ones, I am glad we have a new daycare in Cranberry and the building looks so pretty. It is good for the community. We have taken your advise and sent the township officials emails in support of the roundabout, we want it; enough of speeding down North Boundary, we will ask for a cop there and you will be busted.

Back to Mr. Anderson, My mistake, I did not realize they called it Marshall Road on the new side too. ( I since went and looked) Nevertheless, you knew the situation when you bought there. When I pull out of my driveway onto Franklin, it is probably just as dangerous, if not more so, but I certainly don't want a roundabout at the end of my driveway. As for my point about the daycare center, it should not have been approved for anything commercial.
As for the anonymous writer, it is easy to say disrespectful things when you are going to remain anonymous. This is not just a petty inconvenience, but a foolish trend the local government is on.

In response to Mr. Anderson, If you live on Marshall, you have the option of taking the Rowan Side. Not sure what you mean by the 2nd roundabout by Howard Hannah. I agree traffic should slow down, and of course nobody wants an accident. And I did much prefer a pile of dirt there as opposed to more traffic. All the roundabouts do is congest the township. I gave a much less expensive solution-rumble strips and slow signs.

Are you proposing cancelling the 2nd roundabout by Howard Hanna too? I live in Marshall Woods and the daycare is the best thing that could have happened to that property, I guess you liked seeing a pile of dirt on the empty lot everyday? That site was approved for a gas station, would you rather see that there?
Our lives in Marshall Woods matters, we WANT the roundabout, it is next to impossible to get out to North Boundary due to speeders who drive fast downhill from Franklin Rd. There have been several close calls trying to get out of Marshall and trying to go straight,
Just try crossing the road on North Boundary by foot, you will find out how difficult it is.
WE WANT THE ROUNDABOUT. It is a good investment to save our lives. Take another road if you live on Franklin, you have an option, we live on Marshall Rd and we do not have an option and would like to save lives.

I want the roundabout, cars do 50mph+ coming down North Boundary and the roundabout will make them slow down. Our lives are more important than your petty inconvenience.
