Village of Lancaster wants to use grant money for an unnecessary roundabout on Central Ave and Pleasant Ave.
We are asking for your support in telling the Village board we do NOT want this roundabout project. Grant money is only covering 80%of bill and tax payers are responsible for 20%
I have been reviewing the feedback left on this page and it is clear that many of you share concerns about the long term financial burden of this project. Public funds should be managed with close attention to how they impact our local taxes. I am currently gathering more information on the village board schedule to determine how we can best present these concerns during their upcoming meetings.

Reaching this level of support indicates that our neighbors are truly concerned about the unnecessary tax burden this roundabout project represents. It is heartening to see our community come together to protect the character of our streets from an unwanted development.

I've lived in the Village for 62 Yrs. and have never seen the volume of traffic at that intersection that would warrant having a traffic circle installed there.

I use this intersection often and see no need for this. The intersection is too small for it and businesses will lose parking spots. This won't benefit the village in any way.

What about public safety with three schools in this area. Plus a senior facility at the intersection. How do children cross without push button crossings. Who will pay for more crossing guards?
Mott Macdonald is a supporter of roundabouts and tried to push these at pleasant view and Wherile drive and both were rejected!

They have worked so hard to create a quaint village. Cute shops, coffee shops and restaurants and now they want to add a roundabout ? How about utilizing funds to bring families into the village and continue to create an aesthetically appealing village!!!

A round about will be dangerous here. Too many pedestrians and no safe place to cross with a round about... kids walking to/from school, elderly walking to Rite Aid, many people just walking in to the main retail area of the Village. Terrible idea, no issues with traffic here, leave it alone!

Please do not put the round about in, it is not good for our village. Also, think about the 4th of July parade, not a wise choice.
