The weight of traffic in both directions is very high and the speed many take the corner with is truly shocking. The entrance to the park on that corner is a dangerous point

I live on Cross Sreet and agree with everything that is raised in this petition.

Dagmar Terrace has become a dangerous thoroughfare with frequent road rage when speeding cars cannot pass each other. The noise and speed of the cars are unacceptable and children are at daily risk when exiting the park at the blind corner where the cars race around not expecting civilians or children or dogs or other cars to cross their way

As resident of Cross St living close by I have noticed the steadily increasingly dangerous use of Dagmar Terrace as a rat run. I would strongly urge the council to take prompt action to avoid what will inevitably be a serious fatal consequence in the the near future. The proposed solution is simple and would be easy to implement and will genuinely substantially reduce such a risk.

The narrowness of the road as it approaches Cross Street is really dangerous, especially for residents of the flats whose entrance opens onto the road with no pavement or traffic calming measures.

I visit regularly and the traffic can be quite frightening around that blind corner.

I hope the council will act on this promptly. With a children's theatre and a gate opening onto a blind corner it's important that there is no delay in restricting and calming the traffic.

We have a little girl and live right where the road curves - scary!

The government is giving the green light to investment in pedestrianation and cycle lanes. Please consider Dagmar Terrace in your plans for a connected network of walk/cycle paths throughout Islington and restrict car use on this and similarly small streets.

This road is used as a rat run which is extremely dangerous given the puppet theatre, local square and number of young families that live on the street.

Dagmar Terrace is a beautiful, quaint and unique part of Islington in which the much loved Little Angel theatre is located and attracts large groups of children and young families. The adjacent gardens provide a much needed and welcomed green space within this rich urban fabric and community. It is inappropriate to allow this terrace to be used as a rat run by cars going from Cross St. and turning into it to avoid the traffic lights on Essex Rd. As you can see from the photos, this is an accident waiting to happen and we must focus all our efforts to facilitating this change and avoid any member of the public from getting hurt.

Dagmar Terrace is a residential street. It provides pedestrians access to the church, park and puppet theatre. Yet it’s also a 1970s style rat run for vehicles! Islington Council did great work throughout the borough to eliminate these and civilise its steers, but somehow Dagmar Terrace slipped through the net. Please correct this now!

I’ve long thought cars speed too fast through Dagmar Terrace when I’ve been leaving the theatre with the kids... please pedestrianise the area. Thank You

Lived there most of my life and was never busy, when the lights were installed on Essex rd to cross street the problem began. My mum still lives there 42 years and it is crazy... large lorries

As it stands at the moment, this short, narrow street ihas become unnecessarily dangerous for residents, users of the church gardens, and visitors to the Puppet Theatre (children and school groups).

I know the area well and completely agree with the proposals from local residents, who live this as their daily reality .
