As a Malaysian, I feel as though the MP that made the statement does not consider the severity of the issue; while ignoring the fact that such a statement will further tarnish Malaysia's image. Are we to expect this kind of leadership in this day and age? More so, as he is a part of the government apparatus in policy making, MP Shahbudin should adhere to professional and intellectual thinking. Unfortunately, such a brash statement has already incurred damage. A public apology, while explaining the flaws of his impeteous remark on the issue, is compulsory. Him, being a member of the parliament and the country's leadership, is obligated to do so!

This is a sad story.
As a parliament member,should seek a solution to solve criminal issue,but not ask a victim to marry with a rapist.
It's not a good idea.

How can an MP and wx Syariah court judge even make this kinds of atrocious comments???? If it happened to one of his daughters is he going to marry her off to the rapists??? By doing and saying this he ie encouraging rapists everywhere!
