Dear Mr. Goodell,
As the commissioner of the National Football League you have shown reckless disregard for the men and women of our Country that have fought under the same US flag that you allow to be disrespected by your employees and the same National Anthem that represents us all!
This petition is not meant to show support or opposition to any cause that your league may or may not support via your actions but rather it is a demonstration against using your sport as a platform to add further division to this great country. American Heroes United, Inc, a group of US American Veterans, many that have seen brothers and sisters transported home draped in that flag, as well as their supporters, have taken the position that unless you can support your causes in a manner that does not subject us to political strife and disrespect to our brothers and sisters we intend to boycott your league, your events and your sponsors along with holding peaceful protests at your venues.
Many of us partake in sporting events to remove ourselves from the turmoils of everyday life and the political chaos that has become our country. You, Mr. Commissioner, only serve to exacerbate that chaos and we will no longer stand for it...

I am tired of seeing our football players kneeing during National Anthem. There is time place to protest but not on the field. The National Anthem is and always part of our country. Us veterans honor this and always will. With the football players doing this is like they are spitting in our faces. Something has to been done.
Shame on you for allowing this disrespect to Americans to continue. You are running a business not a political forum! Shame on you!!! You should have stoped idiot kapernick at the start!!

I support this system for entertainment, making owners and players wealth, not for political/social discourse. Now, until changed, I will not with time nor money !
When you sit or take a knee during the National Anthem then I feel you're disrespecting Veterans and Patriots alike. I HAVE TURNED OFF THE NFL and will not purchase or use any services that advertise with the NFL.
I'm done with the NFL until the NFL gets out of politics

I support everything this petition stands for and do not support the NFL allowing political demonstrations on the field while awarding fines to players who want to show their patriotism by wearing a patch or different shoes. Allowing someone to protest is their right, however you have allowed some to do it in the wrong and decisive way while punishing those who try to show their patriotism. For that reason, I will Boycott anything NFL along with their sponsors!
