I an a father who's son was murdered in Milwaukee Wi. I also am from Norway Mi. I wet to school with Officer Moraska's brother in law. I remember the day Office Moraska was murdered. There is no place on earth for a person who kills a police officer. Our men and woman in blue must know we have their backs and if anything would happen like this the officer and family must know the killer will never be paroled. It's the right thing to do for the officer the family and the community.

He planned and carried out and ambush of the officer he killed. It was not the heat of the moment. That is 1st Degree Murder in Michigan. There is no greater crime in our state. Even if he has reformed, the reason stated above is reason enough for not paroling Edward Alsteens. To release him is unjust to both Officer Moraska, his family, and the Norway Police Department who lost one of there own. Justice must be served.

My thought is that anyone who intentionally commits cold blooded murder of a police officer or anyone should not be paroled ever. This man lured an innocent officer to his home to kill him. Then he took his police car on a joy-ride while the officer lay dying in the front yard of the person he thought he was going to help.
