The county finally installed the new concrete barriers and confirmed trucks will be ticketed immediately. It has been a long and draining fight to clear our streets, but we kept at it until they listened. Stay alert to make sure the enforcement holds.

Final supporters
We are asking the county to help us stop the neighborhood from becoming a semi truck parking lot. Semis have been ignoring the "no parking" signs at the corner of Meridian and Stapleton and parking on Stapleton anyway. It is a safety hazard, a noise issue, and an eyesore. We are calling on the county to enforce the no parking laws and make it clear that they are not allowed to park in our residential community.

The county still refuses to acknowledge the reports I have sent about the trucks on Stapleton. It is exhausting to fight for a basic level of safety in our own neighborhood but I am not walking away from this.

Resident in Woodmen Hills. These trucks obstruct our view turning on to Stapleton from Meridian Ranch. It makes it scary leaving our neighborhood because we are unable to see oncoming cars.
We have confronted the truckers and received attitude. They basically said they would t stop parking there until someone official did something. They frequently do maintenance on their trucks at this locations and oil/grease spots are now visible in the dirt not to mention no grass will grow in this area bc of the constant parking. This is an eye sore and does not belong in a neighborhood.
These vehicles are parked on main roads yet in full view of home owners who pay HOA fees and are subject to covenants within the community. Not only are these vehicles an eyesore but they run engines at hours when homeowners are trying to sleep. Even the fire department, when they built, assured us they would keep the use of sirens to a minimum and only as necessary so as not to disturb the quality of life we expect in a neighborhood. Homeowners in Filing 11 are not to have work vehicles parked outside their home, nor can we have campers or such for more than a short time. Surely these vehicles should be made to park in a more appropriate lot.
I would love to see the vehicles removed. There the beginnings of an oil slick in what should be native grasses. The owners of these trucks should be responsible for the clean up and reclamation of the area.Really, what gives them the right to park there? The police tag vehicles on the side of the road along 24 and woodmen if they sit for more than 24 hours and the trucks have set there for days on end.
Also there are way too many kids in the area and other drivers can't see them when they dart in and out of the trucks
The county needs to assist with an authorized location for the trucks to park.
semi-trucks do not belong in neighborhoods. My dad drove trucks and would never think of endangering others by parking in a neighborhood.

These trucks park directly behind my house and the idling can become pretty annoying. Not to mention always have to look at a semi truck out my back windows.
