This should not even be up for discussion. The city officials should have already postponed the parade. This tragedy has rattled our community and it isn't fair to compare this with four random people passing. This is four teenagers, four children with their entire lives ahead of them. This is beyond devastating and the least this city can do is reschedule a parade out of respect and consideration.

I don't think it's right to have a parade while a mother is burying her child..

Respect does need to be shown for the community and the families. The parade can be moved to the next weekend. It's time the grown ups start acting like mature, christian adults and do the right thing.

My prayers go out to the families that lost their child, and loved one. Words can never express the loss of a child, but prayers, and thoughts are very helpfull.

Shanna was a member of the Warren County band. That is a huge part of our parade as well as all of the mourning students. I know it is not convenient for everyone to reschedule something they have prepared for ,but I think it should be considered. I think a large amount of the community would be unable to enjoy the parade like it should be.

Really? Please think about your comments. This isn't just 4 people passing. This is a horrible tragedy. We shouldn't even have Christmas lights on until these children are laid to rest.

I understand that. It's honestly terrible 4 young kids lost their life. But people have worked for months and asked off work so they can attend the parade. I just don't think it's fair to change it. If 4 random people died they wouldn't change the parade for them.

Never said it was fair, but rescheduling it would mean alot more to the mourning students and families than it would to keep the date for the people who have asked off work. I just think if possible rescheduling and using the parade at a later date to cheer up the community would be a beneficial example of Warren county's small town feel.
Reschedule out of respect.
