No Green line on ROW.
Any Green line expansion should use Hawthorne Blvd which is a commericial avenue and not through 40 blocks of residential neighborhoods on the ROW.

I do not want to the Green Line extension coming through behind my apartment. The noise would be unbearable and the safety hazards in the area due to the Chevron refinery service train and the underground pipelines (which carry aviation fuels to the several airports including LAX) should be painfully obvious to even the most casual observer. Engineers worth their salt would never risk their professional licenses in proposing the the Alternative R route because of these obvious hazards.

NO on ROW-
*Schools will be disturbed everyday (losing instructional time to educate our youth)!
*Students' safety!
*More congestion!
*Through the backyards = no benefits!
YES on H
*A railway used to run through Hawthorne Blvd. They have small businesses along Hawthorne Boulevard = Great idea to bring more business for the community!
A simple equation...Think Metro...

Thanks Mary-Ellen for sharing! I actually didn't know Hawthorne Blvd was where the Red Car went. Makes sense though. Also I work on a block from the Green Line in El Segundo. The so called sound barriers are built there to reduce noise. I can tell you that you can hear it all day every few minutes. One train going in one direction, couple minutes later the train returns in the other direction. No train on ROW! Develop Hawthorne blvd as a better commercial center.

I live 2miles from the existing green line and I can hear it from my house. Can you imagine what it would be like if it was a block from your house? Go over to the Costco and you will see what I mean. Their would be no stops in Lawndale. So what good would it be to us. Hawthorne Blvd had the Red Car trolls years ago. That's why there is a center section there. It was very efficient and maybe we could have some stops in our city. That would be good for the city wouldn't it!!!!
