I strongly encourage the Memphis City Council members to Pass the Ordinance #5782 and MLGW to protect our drinking water source, the Memphis Sand Aquifer, with a wellhead protection zone ordinance.

Please prevent the damage the Byhalia Connection pipeline will do by voting YES to Ordinance #5782!
Memphis Light, Gas & Water needs to protect Memphis' only water source with a wellhead protection zone ordinance.

The last complaint clouds the goal of the petition. The purpose is to stop a procedure that could poison a pristine aquifer and rob people of their properties,
not whine about how little money the community would get of it went through. That just gives the opposition (Valero and company) an edge, perhaps even a legal edge. I rethink that part of the petition.

This is so morally wrong and cannot be allowed to proceed!

It is evident that as a race, humans are the most destructive beings on this planet. Allowing companies to pass oil lines through drinking water is irresponsible + demonstrates care for immediate money over long term effects on millions of people.
Please Decline the sale of easements as that demonstrates you will not use your legal capabilities to partake in the building of this pipeline.
Oppose the pipeline.

This is harming our environment and it goes through indigenous territory, these pipelines are not a good idea, please stop this.

We are moving from Texas to Memphis very soon to be close to our daughter. It's amazing the difference in taste between Texas lake/reservoir water and the Memphis aquafier. The disruption the pipeline will cause to the communities and the potential catastrophe that could ensue is enormous. Stop the pipeline, PLEASE
