I am from Memphis Tennessee and this is very saddening. Being that I was born and raised in Memphis, I know and I’ve experienced some of the best and cleanest drinking water available. Now the water is contaminated which is difficult on individuals that are less fortunate to get water out of stores (due to shortage and/or financial instability).

I have lived in Memphis most of my life. We have always prided ourselves on the water in this community as being the best in the nation. Our water should be protected at all costs. It is life sustaining. To ignore that in favor of profit is a crime against humanity.

We don’t want this pipeline going through our city.
It is not safe in the type of shifting soil in our region’s crust. It WILL break, especially with the increasingly more frequent extreme weather events.
