It is unconscionable to destroy the only drinking water source and support the oil industry without thought to the communities it will affect. This is environmental racism at its worst!

Seriously? Don't poison the cleanest water source in the area. Also, you people are fools to try and build a pipeline along the New Madrid fault line which is long over due for another earthquake. You will also be displacing people and poisoning countless others. Don't build this pipeline. We don't want it.

Memphis City Council must pass the Resolution Opposing the Byhalia Connection Pipeline.
Memphis Light, Gas, and Water must protect Memphis' pristine and only drinking water source, the Memphis Sand Aquifer, with a wellhead protection zone ordinance.
I stand on the side of the community against the interest of the billion-dollar crude oil pipeline company perpetuating environmental racism.

We cannot allow greed to triumph over integrity. This pipeline is a distinct and avoidable threat to our community, health, and way of life. I do not want to tell my grandchildren stories about when Memphis had the clearest, purest water you would ever taste straight from the tap while they roll their eyes at an old timer's tale because they cannot appreciate a gift they've never known. Don't let this happen.
