As a resident of Memphis I whole heartedly agree that we don’t need nor want this. As a person from MI 30 miles from Flint I know the hurt and damage this can cost.

Those with power and influence have too long not included those who are most AFFECTED by their decisions in the conversation; only ever those that have the most to GAIN. BIPOC, women and trans-women, LGBTQ+, those in lower income communities. Enough is enough. Environmental racism and the theft of land, theft of rights, theft of safety and health needs to stop.

Lets reflect on Exxon and BP oil spill and flint Michigan water crisis. Memphis is on the neumatric vault and any point an earth quake could cause an explosion or at the oil spill. I don't see how can profit from this.

Why not run the pipeline thru Southaven and Olivebranch? Maybe cause they know wht ppl ain't going for that so why not pay the same respect. Just saying treat our blk community like u want yours treated. It all comes back to ugly racism.

I do not believe that the pipeline should be in our city at all but especially not in our black community. It will tarnish our entire water supply and contaminate not only the water but our air and our soil!

Come on Memphis we are better than this! Let’s take care of our people! I don’t want oil in my soil, my drinking water, our rivers or our lakes.
