It disgusts me how this country never fails to disappoint and destroy its poorer citizens, impoverished communities, and decent infrastructure.

As a Memphis native, our cities clean water was a badge I pride. Anything to compromise or dirty our water should be opposed at all cost. It’s common sense l. Profit for a select fee should not come at the cost of the local environment and the life blood that keeps it running. Cause it’s everything and not just humans that rely on clean water.

We need to protect our water. It’s the best thing about Memphis. We don’t need more oil with all of the electric cars coming down the road.

I can’t believe we would want to destroy water/drinking system for an oil pipe line. I am a resident in the De Soto County area and this pipe line will directly affect my family and my community.

One of the best things about living in Memphis is the drinking water. This city has suffered enough corrosion, danger, and loss. Enough is enough and the very water that Memphians drinks should not be on the list of daily dangers they face. I'm not even big into environmental causes but clearly, this is an egregious wrong.

Memphis had some of the best drinking water in the country, even considering putting it at risk is a direct statement against the well-being of the larger Memphis community. This is absurd and disgusting. Oil is over. Do the right thing.
