This is a petition advocating to alter one of the 16 observation rooms at The GW Speech & Hearing Sciences Clinic so that NO observations may take place to accomodate the needs of students on campus seeking therapy who do not want to be evaluated by their peers. This is not asking to alter the entire clinic or even spend much money--- simple fixes may include: Installing Blinds on the Two Way Mirror(Cost around $150) or even throwing a black sheet over the mirror to put the student at ease. Students should be able to feel comfortable when seeking therapy and should be able to utilize this clinic as a student resource to aid them in their academic, personal and professional needs and development.
