its on a registered site and there is no benefit whats so ever for our region and I live next door and don't want it at all

As a child I wandered the bush of the Flinders Ranges. It is a sacred and special place for many and should not be the site of a nuclear waste dump, nor should any other piece of Australian turf; have we really benefitted, as Australians, from uranium mining and the nuclear industry? Or is the claim that we should accept responsibility for the end product of uranium that we mine and export, just a way of major nuclear proponents privatizing benefits and socializing costs and consequences? They reap the financial rewards of raping our country of minerals, we bear the environmental and health consequences. What happens in 100 years time, once the waste dump is full? Is it really the financial 'cash cow' that our media and government wish to portray? How do we financially support a system for 300,000 years?
