The OAC is not properly representing the community of Oceano. They’re lying about it’s support for their own personal benefits

The OAC is overreaching and very sneaky - illegally trying to force their agenda. Asking that SLO County engage and monitor this

Please do not impose vacation rental restrictions in Oceano. The restrictions are unfair and appear to be self-serving to the Strand residents . County of SLO will loose
a lot of money from hotel taxes if this goes through. Owners of vacation rentals keep their property in excellent condition to keep their investment attractive to renters. There are many homes in the Strand area that need significant homeowner improvements. Some homes look as though they are close to collapse. Perhaps the OAC should concentrate their efforts on improving many of the homes in the Strand area. For example: the homes that store all types of junk, trailers, non-working vehicles, on driveways, side yards, alleys, and on streets. Work on paving the streets, (not just patching) keeping the sand under control, and finding adequate shelters for the homeless population that has settled in the area. Strand needs a lot of help to revitalize that community. Drive through the area and see for yourself. Improvements may likely attract more visitors to the Central Coast and benefit the county, economically as well. Please do not pass this ordinance.
Thank you.

My sister and I own a vacation rental on the strand. We keep it perfect, are respectful of neighbors, and feel fine with doing our part to boost the local economy and SLO Co. tax base. A small handful of folks want to drastically curtail vacation rentals….they DO NOT speak for Oceano.

The OAC is out of touch with reality proposing this ordinance. The damage this will cause the local economy is huge.

Stop this proposal to limit vacation rentals in Oceano. We are a licensed, tax paying vacation property and other properties should have the same rights if desired.
