No more uniforms,We want to be individuals

We have no freedom at all,we can't express outselves in any way at all during school and it completely sucks.They sah the uniforms are to keep bullying from happening but even with uniforms bullying occurs.People will always bully each other no matter what.The schools do nothing to stop it and making us wear uniforms doesn't change it.We should be allowed to have our freedom and dress how we want to express ourselves,the schools just need to find another way to deal with the bullying because uniforms don't do it.

I think we shouldn’t have uniforms because we can’t express who we are with our hair or things like that so why not our clothes?

If our school doesn’t get rid of uniforms, maybe they could AT LEAST let us have more freedom with what color hoodies and jackets we could wear and spirit shirts wouldn’t have to only be in Friday’s, AT LEAST!

Every one is an individual and there for should be able to be themselves we can't do that in school because of these uniforms. They are their to make us equal but they don't, people STILL get bullied. We all are different and unique yet they try to force us to hide our true selves behind fake personas built by the uniforms. They are supposed to be less distracting in order for people to make better grades, yet people are still failing, grades were actually better for some people when uniforms WEREN'T around.

Uniforms were to keep kids from bullying others and that still happens.Bully won't stop just because you wear the same clothes.Kids bully over anything they find.Another reason was to stop from being distracted,Clothes aren't distracting,People just need to learn how to act and do their work.

Another reason for school uniform was to stop kids from being over the top but if a student still wants to do that they can There will be punishment but to them it was worth it Uniforms don’t solve anything for our school

Save money, no more uniforms. When people cannot afford school supplies how can they afford uniforms. To much for lower and middle class.

To expand on my comment, I agree that school uniforms should be abolished.

As a parent I agree, plus we have to buy two sets of clothes - school uniforms and regular street clothes. As long as parents exercise good judgement with what is acceptable and decent clothes at school, there shouldn’t be any trouble. Shreveport high schools seem to have some freedom with their dress codes.

The reason that school dress codes werè made was to help stop bullying, but it hasn't changed anything. There is still bullying because of how people don't have trending clothes that fit in the dress code. School is about learning to be individual and unique people, but they try to make us all the same.
