The practice of removing a piece of a dogs tail for the look or because it is what has been done in the past is over. It is cruel torture and should be illegal/banned in the USA.

Tail docking, as many European countries have come to realize, is barbaric and cruel. There is no medical or scientific reasoning for its continued usage and, if anything, it can harm a dog both physically and psychologically; it's a cruel and antiquated practice when done simply for cosmetic reasons. Please stop this now.

Cropping too! Thankfully that’s usually chosen by the individual owner and not forced on everyone by the breeder. If I had to choose one it would definitely be docking

My poodles, 2 Standards, and 1 Toy, have natural tails. I think they just add to their majestic looks. Poodles are full of personality and their full, beautiful, natural tail only adds to it!

I have a Standard whose tail is not docked. It’s lovely seeing him wag it. His breeder stopped docking 7 years ago. Let’s stop docking, please.

I have 2 poodles 1 docked and 1 full tail. Full tail much happier and more athletic. (I adopted as adults)
