Today the people of our nation face many struggles and problems. One, of the many problems, that has been brought up lately is inequality. The inequality that we face today is because of government treating the wealthy as gods and treating the lower classes as worthless pieces of junk that nobody wants. The leading cause of this issue is tax breaks to the wealthy and large companies. Tax breaks to the wealthy and large companies allow these individuals to avoid paying their fair share of taxes. The solution to this problem is eliminating tax breaks on the wealthy and large companies. Once we do this government can use the money to reduce our national debt because this makes up a large part of the problem why we have high taxes in the first place. Then, once we have reduced the national debt, government can reduce taxes for everyone. This includes all of the wealthy along with the middle and lower classes. The final step in this plan is government funding public works projects. The public works projects would create many jobs. These jobs would be primarily offered people who were in poverty and the unemployed. This would allow these people to earn money and get out of their situation. Also these jobs would put money into and boost the economy, which would benefit the economy as a whole. Now you are probably wondering how this is any different from the Occupy Wall Street protests. Well the Occupy Wall Street protests were able to make some noise about the issue of inequality but it was not able to change government policy.
