Hi Jaclyn, thanks for initiating this. please let me know how I can help. I am passionate about this issue and care that we share this petition widely. I’m also willing to go door-to-door and speak with people at a safe distance. Sarah Galloway.

Concur with these common-sense, low/no cost solutions to get to YES! Also, there is a video camera outside the gym as I recall--which staff can monitor to ensure density guidelines are adhered to--and a fob that is swiped to enter the corridor that could be used for contact tracing.

I'm available and willing to help make the reopening of the gym a reality before the end of this calendar year....

While I got tired of waiting and just got a membership at Gold’s, this is ridiculous. It’s time to open.

My comments are history'd; plenty of "closed" excuses/explanations offered and I still believe the keep-the-gym-closed mafia obstructionists are from those older residents who do not use the gym, or who are overly-concerned their health/lives are at risk. This bldg is NOT an extended-care. facility. We've gone through many flu seasons successfully, no one has passed because of contracting pneumonia from a flu virus originating from the gym or common areas. It's time. We're paying for the gym, open it under careful guidance well-stated by Jaclyn. Thank you for your efforts, and good luck!

One additional mitigation measure could be a portal air purifier (with UV filtration) with enough capacity relative to the size of the room, which might cost between $300-$500.

It is my hope that residents and the Board can work together on this issue. I respect Jaclyn for her hard work on this petition. I would appreciate a response from the Board - by actually addressing each point Jaclyn made. Respectfully, the last response from the Board had a tone that insulted residents. Let's remain professional and let's work together, as Jaclyn states, to fully adjust to the 'new normal" inside our home & community, Shirlington Village Condominium. Thank you.

This all makes sense beyond belief. Curious to see what the naysayers come up with now.
