They actually did it and the desk drawer veto is officially history. I am honestly in shock that the rules are changing after all this time but keep your eyes on the next session just in case anyone tries to sneak it back in.

I spent the whole morning digging through old session records and honestly it is just maddening how many good ideas get buried in those drawers without a single vote. It feels like the silence from the committee leaders is getting louder and I keep thinking if we could just force an actual hearing then the outcome would be totally different for everyone.

I was just staring at the screen and realized how much steam this has actually picked up lately. It is honestly kind of surreal to see so many people agreeing that this desk drawer business has been stalling progress for way too long. I really think we are finally getting somewhere with this push.
