I am against any legislation that removes control of Missouri Education Standards from our K-12 classes and which allows the Federal Government to dictate what is taught in our classrooms and to direct the evaluation of our teachers in any way. I support getting back to the basics and returning all control of education to the individual school districts. I further support any program that will result in the increase of the education standards of our students and stop their dumbing down that now exists.

Since implementing Common Core our local school district's ratings have fallen enormously. These standards do not prepare our students for anything except vocational training. The data collection requirements are unconstitutional and serve to pigeon-hole students into low paying jobs. Route Common Core out of you school district!

There are a few pieces of the Common Core agenda that are worthy of considering, but overall, it is pedagogically unsound. The few good morsels do not in any way outweigh the damage that Common Core will do to our education system.

Please repeal CCSS and get Federal Government out of our state education process. This program does nothing but dumb down our children.

Why after all these years why is it necessary to have the control of local education in the hands of the US govt. The govt. controls the DOE has not had a positive effect on the outcome of education Lets keep local issues here at home.

The adoption of CCSS without legislative approval is a violation of the Missouri Constitution which requires changes to the state's education curriculum be approved by the legislature. Why dies not the Legislature recognize this patently unconstitutionality and address a correction?

Education should be controlled by parents and the local school district. This nationwide disaster is doomed to fail.

Steals the parents' right to determine their child's curriculum. Shoves into the face of our children explicit sex (even as low as kindergarten) Forces unproven texts and teacher's manuals which are inaccurate, racially biased, and anti-American. Attempts to control the minds of the children to reveal private family information such as income of parents, property they own, if guns are in the home, religion and how they vote. Indoctrination techniques almost the same as Hitler's Nazi Germany.

I support the efforts of all parents and educators in the state of Missouri who know that education is best served through the unique, artistic hands of teachers, not through the pre-designed methods and targets of a centralized governmental planning.
