Children have been proven to be the least likely target of this “virus”. PROVEN. After hanging out with their friends all summer they’ll be forced to wear masks when in the same room. Makes no sense...

I agree children should not wear masks for a long period of time as it eventually will cause illness and a weaken immune system.

Asking a Child to wear a mask more than 15 minutes is absolutely unacceptable. Especially at school. #1. It will be a huge distraction #2. Most will not wear the mask correctly #3. It is not safe for the child overall health #4. They will end up touching their face hundreds times more than without a mask. This isn't rocket science.

It's time to bring some degree of normalcy back to education. The kids have missed out on so much. If you are concerned at all about the drop-out rates, absenteeism, test scores, social needs, early intervention and retention, don't make the classroom hostile to education with masks and social distancing. I have no doubt that little education will be accomplished due to difficulty communicating through masks, desire to interact with other students, fielding mask compliance issues and absolute disconnected chaos. I firmly believe that attendance will begin low and will reduce regularly as students and staff become frustrated. Don't ruin a child's opinion of school long-term. Students that choose would not be denied the option of wearing a mask.

Recent studies prove that assymptomatic people are not likely to spread covid. We also know that fabric masks do not filter covid particulate at all (covid was much smaller than what a fabric mask can filter). Children are also more susceptible to hypoxia from prolonged mask wearing.
