I love TCA, and I have confidence you will do the right thing for our families. I feel that if families don't feel safe at school, there should definitely be the option of elearning. But I will not have my child wearing a mask for 8 hours a day. Not only is it not necessary, but it is dangerous.

I have always appreciated how TCA balances academics & character. I hope they will balance physical health concerns & social-emotional health concerns of our kids & teachers as well in the fall. This year at TCA north elem the focus was “Titans find joy in learning” & the extreme guidelines suggested by CDC at this point for the fall squelch that joy for students & staff alike & are skewed too far out of balance to physical concerns & disregard long term social-emotional impacts.

To require a measure as drastic as masks on children and staff, the burden of proof that masks are needed and effective lies on the government agencies requiring masks. No proof has been shown. Even if future studies show masks have a benefit (no current studies have), that still does not prove that the benefits outweigh the risks. I do not consent to my children being the test subjects on this matter.

Masks keep germs near kids’ faces all day. My friend’s 11 year old daughter passed out twice last week because she had to wear a mask at her summer camp. Masks don’t allow for enough air flow. They are dangerous for long term use, especially on active kids.

Please listen to us, the parents. When we joined TCA we were asked to be involved in our child’s education. This is us getting involved! Thank you!

I have a child who needs to see facial expressions to best understand intent. A mask would be a detriment to this child's learning. On the health side, increased CO2 is dangerous. PLEASE do NOT require the wearing of masks in the classroom/school environment.

Cloth masks are proven to be ineffective in preventing spread of viruses by multiple studies. We also do not know the effect of mask wearing on children. It should be a choice of whether or not each family desires to have their child wear a mask to school not a requirement.

The distraction from Masks are unnecessary and likely hinder learning, which our children can’t afford. It’s proven that our youth are extremely low risk and even if they do get Covid-19, they will survive. If liability reasons are the concern, It’s a simple waiver that parents can sign to assume the risk and prevent the school from getting sued.
I will not allow my kids to go to school with masks.
