Agree. Children are not at risk. The whole point of a vaccination program is to move the population back to normality. The majority cannot have liberties removed by those who choose not to be vaccinated. Those unable to be vaccinated also, unfortunately, cannot dictate we live our lives. There is only one person in hospital.

My child will not wear a mask all day while indoors. Do your research on the dangers of wearing these masks coupled with the amount of hours they would be subjected to wearing them.

When I drive by town in the evenings, and see the bars packed, when I see the tour boats completely filled with bodies like sardines, nobody wearing masks, and then I hear that children in desks facing forwards and spaced out with the windows open have to be masked up, when they are at least risk themselves of either getting it or passing it on, it seems perhaps it is not about health. Bermuda needs the government to think about health for all more, and about policy less. Everyone can spread covid if they have it, vaccinated or not, so stop it from coming into the island. I realise they want to reward the vaccinated by using things like safekey and allowing them to move around after arrival negative results, when unvaccinated are limited in their privileges, but the fact is, that is how it is coming in and spreading. Sadly, this is not a sanitizing vaccine that completely stops the virus in its tracks - it simply minimizes symptoms for those who have taken the vaccine, which in itself is a wonderful thing, but they can still contract and pass it on. Please, if it is genuinely about health and stopping the spread, stop it from coming into the island by quarantining everyone who comes in, vax or not, and then drop masks in schools and safe key. Or follow the UK and trust that those who want the protection have taken advantage of this wonderful option available to them, and let life go on, kids live normal lives, businesses not go under, and the hate to end.

Science will tell you a mask will not stop a virus going through. But in the past year we have seem numerous studies on the damage masks do to our children physically as well as emotionally.

Young Kids need to see others’ lips for speech and language development. Kids need to see facial expressions for effective social skills.
