This is a big joke right? San fransisco same on you. I am disgusted that this is even a consideration. How about honor someone that has contributed something to society and not some parolee that has been on the public dime his entire life. SAME ON YOU SF

I am absolutely disgusted to read this. This Parolee THUG STABBED a person and forced an officer to shoot and kill him and now the bleeding hearts in SF want to honor the dirtbag. The only thing that should be honored is that the tax payers don't have to pay his way anymore.

it is completely ridiculous to celebrate life/remember officially person who was a criminal. looks like americans do not have enough great people if they are pushed to celebrate somebody like him. time to wake up from political correctness.

There should not be a rememberence day for a criminal who stabbed someone. A better suited person to remember would be Kathryn Steinle

SF supervisors buckled to the blm movement and agreed on honoring a criminal with a long history of criminal activity. It's spitting in the face of all sfpd officers and all law enforcement throughout the country. We need to get the word out that this kind of action is unacceptable. Same all of you on the SFBOS

The SF City Supervisors have officially lost their credibility and embarrassed this great city for the last time.
There vote to honor a criminal who has stabbed someone with a knife was a slap in the face to all the law abiding citizens and a stab in the back to law enforcement all over the country.
It didn't look good what the arresting officers did and that can be further reviewed but to honor the bad guy with a "dedicated day" is a disgrace.
He was not a civil rights advocate. He was a criminal. End of story.
Repeal the commemoritive day that these "stupervisors" decided place upon the city.
And please remember to give them the message of discontent by making sure they do not get re-elective.

I'm a Chicago Police Office. Its bad enough we have the Media blackballing Police, but to recognize this criminal when we have Officers giving the ultimate sacrifice is a disgrace to every Police Officer out here.

He was a criminal and stabbed someone earlier. He had a hence to give up but did not . To honor him is an embarrassment and a reflection of our societies sympathy for criminals

Disgraceful.
The next petition should be for a recall election
