It is outrageous of the SF stupidvisors to honor a criminal. There isn't a race issue going on in this county, it's an issue of individuals not being responsible or accountable for their actions. It's an issue of individuals having to find someone to blame. I don't care if you are white, black, hispanic, asian, etc. you are responsible for being a law abiding, contributing member of our society. If you aren't, well then accept the consequences.

I'm not one to post my religious beliefs or political opinions on Facebook. I may post a thin blue line in remembrance of a fallen officer but I don't use the hashtag "bluelivesmatter." I read the articles, listen to the news, and see the posts about bluelivesmatter, blacklivesmatter, all lives matter, and I think to myself how outrageous this all is. I wonder how our country became so divided. Is it our government? Is it social media? Is it the millennial generation? Then I realize, it doesn't matter what or who got us to this point, what matters now is how we're going to move forward. Hearing about Mario Woods Day made me sick to my stomach. I am not making a statement as to whether the police action taken in Woods' case was justified or not, but I will put my foot down in protest of honoring a violent, drug abusing, gang involved criminal. I for one do not want to live in or raise my children in a world where we honor someone with such disregard for the law or for human life. Wake up America. This is not about RACE, this is about RIGHT vs. WRONG.

This "memorial day" for Woods is out of control. There should NEVER BE a reward for attempted murderers.

To honor a criminal who preyed on innocent people is a disgrace. Shame on the board of stupes. They have really shown their true colors this time.

This is a sad commentary on what we have become as a nation, that anyone would even think this was ok.

Anyone who thinks a violent felon should be honored for ANY reason deserves to be the victim of a violent felony.

A Day of Remembrance is for Heros...NOT a troubled man who had just stabbed someone & refused to drop the knife despite repeated efforts of police. A tragedy. ..yes. A Day of Remembrance, NO!
Never , not until there is a Kate Steinle day.
Hell no. Back the blue.
