Why on earth would you want to honor, much less have a day, to remember a known criminal????

The supervisors really need to reconsider this move that is an insult to every law abiding citizen of San Francisco...

The members of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors have shown they are completely out of touch with reality and their constiuents. They must now submit themselves for drug testing immeadiately as they have acted in the bad faith of the people of the city of San F and completely irrational. There decision to honor a known criminal who stabbed another citizen shows they are in favor of violent crime being committed on the streets of the city streets of San Francisco. This constituiets abnormal behavior,,, While in the service of the citizens of the city. This is grounds for immeadiate submission for full not acting in the good faith of the people of San Francisco .I call for an instant re-call election to remove all the members of the Board of Supervisors. Their behavior is absurd and wrong and shows no respect to those officers who have valiantly served the city and lost their lives fighting the criminals in the city itself. . This actions is cause for a vote of no confidence in the city Supervisors and the demand for the instant resignation of each member. Any person who validates the actions of those who choose to act violently and wrongfully against the citizens of the city and choose to celebrate their actions ,,, are surely not the persons who should be allowed to continue to act on behalf of other citizens of the city and be continued to hold public office in representations of the citizens of SAN FRANCISCO . The members of The Board of Supervisors must now submit themselves for psychological evaluation and full drug testing and resign their positions in the next business day without haste..... Anything short of this is a travesty against the citizenry... RESIGN POST HASTE BOARD MEMBERS !!!

Why do we want to remember a convicted felon who tried killing someone by stabbing them? What does that say to the victim?

This is an absolute disgrace. Why is man who lead no significant life but crime being celebrated. Whether you believe or not that he should have been shot, (which he should have been for the safety of the officers,) this is still not a person to have a day in commemoration of. We have officers who died in the line of duty yet you don't see any days marked on the calendar under their name. Why is this guy more special? He was a criminal. I'm ashamed of our San Francisco branch that voted this in and believe there needs to be some serious consideration in removing these people of their positions. Absolutely disgusted!

Your desire to be politically correct and liked by the community has drifted off into a new rhelm of lunacy if you name a day of remembrance after a criminal. This shooting is unfortunate, but this namesake idea is just plain idiotic.
