An absolute slap in the face to law enforcement. Why is this country so hell bent on celebrating criminals? San Francisco you are on insane city/county. Your pc way has destroyed a once beautiful city.

Stop insulting the people of San Francisco by dumbing us down with ridiculous suggestions to honor a criminal. What you are doing is making a decision that you deem "pc" but it is not even close. You are wrong in making this decision for the public.

As a former police officer, husband of a current officer and American, this is shameful that a city is honoring a common felon. Where have your morals gone SF?

Criminals do not deserve to be honored. This day would be a disgrace to our country as a whole! God bless our officers.

A day honoring someone without honor is ludicrous. Stop glorifying criminals.

An attempt to honor any felon is an insult to all public safety personnel and their families.

Political "correctness" is making bureaucrats wimpering idiots who fold under public pressure from family members after overzealous cops kill a criminal too quickly in the street. The cops in the Mario Woods case should be prosecuted for the response to his actions, but that doesn't change the fact that Mario Woods was a criminal who had just committed a crime and would not drop his weapon. Making a Mario Woods Day would show just how stupid and it of touch with reality political correctness makes people! Don't be stupid!
