If San Francisco wants to honor someone who represents the fight for social justice how about the Rev. Cecil Williams? Why is SF thinking to honor someone who just STABBED an innocent bystander? No wonder San Francisco is such a mess. Total lack of leadership. Yes, I am sad for Mr. Woods and his family. Something went terribly wrong in his life. I am also sad for the police officers and their families. Enforcing the law these days is a most difficult task. There is much that as bystanders we don't know or understand. I will sign this petition because the city is honoring the wrong person for the wrong reasons.

It's things like this that makeshe the citizens of your neighboring states so disgusted when we see a CA license plate. Makes us worry that you'll start trying to mess up our lives

If there is a Remembrance Day created in the name of an armed suspect whom was shot by an officer, it promotes other people to do the same.

You honor a criminal who was attacking another person instead of oh, a veteran? A firefighter? A cop killed on the job? Hell, honor the guy flipping burgers before you honor this guy.

I am so disappointed to the SF BoS for approving "Mario Wood Remembrance Day". Honoring a convicted felony and gang banger that just stabbed someone.
Thank you to all officers who put their life on the line to keep the street safe. Keep up the hard work.

Creating a "Mario Woods Remembrance Day" is an insult to peace officers everywhere, and only glorifies criminal behavior. This has to be one of the most asinine ideas I have heard of in a long time.

Please please, do not glorify a criminal and make your LEOs powerless. There is already too much disrespect and defiance toward the law and the officers who are trying to uphold the law and protect the public.
