This is a slap in the face of all law abiding citizens, in uniform or not, everywhere.

While I feel for his family and any loss of life, this is NOT an appropriate "day of remembrance." The police officers that were involved that day tried many different ways to disarm this man, after he had stabbed another. Many of these officers are minority themselves. I can't fathom what the supervisors were thinking in approving this.... It is a slap in the face to all who have sworn to protect and serve this community. I, for one, am thankful for their service and hope to communicate this by gladly and proudly signing this petition.

Disgusted with S.F. I am a 5th generation native San Fransiscan. Voting with wallet. All my shopping will be done out of the city. It's nice that a thug with a knife is more important than the safety of its citizens.
