The current plans for LTLR to run through an established residential area is no longer a reasonable option for the City of Belton. The city owes a fiduciary (do no harm) to the tax paying citizens of their communities, and to continue with the LTLR project along it's current proposed path is meeting the needs of whom, exactly?
I'm sure this was a good and visionary idea decades ago, but with the current housing development already in place, any neighborhood would be outraged at the very idea.
I would also suggest that to make the LTLR prior to widening the dam is unrealistic at this point as the current growth & development in Morgan's Point will continue to increase traffic coming and going across the Lake Belton Dam.
Finally, if the city does move forward with this idea, I strongly suggest an alternative route be utilized.

The city has allowed this area too much growth when they’ve planned for so long to build this LTLR. Please consider the wishes of those who will be most affected by this Highway... not road.
Build it along another route.

Totally opposed to this proposed road which would disrupt our quiet neighborhood and drive down property values. It feels like the city of Belton is trying to "pull a fast one" on its tax paying citizens.

LTLR is unnecessary given two alternative routes close by (121 & 439), particularly as 121 will be expanding. There are increased safety issues with another road so close to a school. Furthermore, it will de-value properties, which not only hurts the home owners but also will decrease revenue for the city which appears to be having budgetary issues (according to news articles). Given that the city decided to build a neighborhood in the path of this road, it is inappropriate to continue this project as is and should consider alternative routes. As someone new to this area, I am opposed to LTLR and consider it's continued planning this a poor reflection of the city of Belton.

Think about the young homeowners that have young children there, and live there in search of a safe & quite area. To raise their children. Put your train tracks back in the woods, there is plenty of space. Tear down the shacks not the new family homes where children are able to play in the street. Please find another way to do this.

The LTLR does not support the City of Belton vision - “To be a Community of Choice in Central Texas, providing an Exceptional Quality of Life.” The LTLR goes against the city's vision and strategic plan outcomes. I'm asking the city council to vote "NO" on the strategic plan update September 11th.

Really tired of the city government trying to turn Belton into a “big city”. Leave our neighborhood alone, this road will do nothing except ruin neighborhoods. Stop already, first you allowed the rezoning asked for by Carothers construction which resulted in rabbit Warren sized yards with too many houses right off of Chisholm Teail and now this.
