As a new homeowner the HOA did not disclose this information at any point of time during any our engagements. This development was not mentioned on the builders site or any of the HOA documents. The walking trail & safety of this neighborhood was why we chose to buy here. Furthermore, driving around from 439 or 121 is NOT problematic in time or logistics. I would guess the cities may have HEAVY legal issues if this road is completed.

This road would affect the home snd neighborhood where my daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren live, work, play, and study. There must be a better solution than this lake to lake road. The two lakes really do not need to be linked by a road, do they?

Our neighborhood is very kid-friendly, we have kids walking and riding bikes all of the time, safely. This project would put our kids at much higher, unnecessary risk.

Keep Belton neighborhoods safe. Dozens of kids walk and ride their bikes to and from school each day. Increased traffic and potential for criminal access could endanger our children. This road would hinder quality of life.

This road extension will have a negative and dangerious impact on our subdivision. TxDOT should focus on widening some or all of 439. That would provide benefit for the entire community. A better I 14 access road vice the spur through Nolanville would be a great benifit also.
Has the Corps of Engineers concurred with land use near the dam?

Just about everyone uses George Wilson Road as their thoroughfare from 439>93 to I-14, anyway, so the more reasonable option would be to expand G. Wilson across 93 heading north to connect with 439/Sparta intersection. There are no neighborhoods to disrupt and would be easier access from one end of Belton to the other. That option may also give the existing G. Wilson some MUCH NEEDED repair.

When our councilmen fail to recognize a once viable option for Belton 20 years ago is no longer viable, they are no longer acting in the city’s best interest; they are serving their best interests regardless of the impact on others. I listened to their justifications at the recent council meeting, and it was a lot air, nothing solid. We need impact studies that are CURRENT, performed by an impartial 3rd party. Homeowners have rights and those rights should be upheld. If this road had been so incredibly important, they should not have sanctioned those land areas for sprawling neighborhoods.
