The projected road goes through a an area used by deer. Also Belton High uses Chisholm trail for training. In addition, Dawson Ranch has a lot of children that walk or bike ride to the 3 Belton ISDs on Sparta. Save our children and wild animals.

This road will not go from lake rd to lake rd. It will not alleviate any traffic. But will create more hazard for children and residents of the Dawson Creek subdivision. I vote “no”!!

This will destroy property values, take away the quiet residential area we all purchased our property for. The city already allows too many drivers to go too fast through the area and on Lake Road, which is already supposed to be in the city. They should protect what they already have and not destroy our properties.

I strongly oppose the construction of a road through our quiet neighborhood of 640 homes. This project would destroy the peace and atmosphere that brought me and many others here. It would make our streets less safe - especially for children, seniors, and pedestrians - and would expose us to more traffic, noise, and air pollution. I’m also concerned about the impact on property values and the loss of privacy and comfort - especially the homes adjacent to the proposed road. I feel this plan goes against the original intent of our neighborhood and breaks the trust we placed in city planners. I'm sure there are better alternatives that don’t involve cutting through a thriving residential community. This road threatens not just our environment, but our health, safety, and peace of mind.

Waste of money, only residents who live here would even use it. This road would go through people’s backyards and take away from property values due to noise and traffic.

This road would destroy the beautiful park we have in this neighborhood that many of us use everyday

Would add to much traffic and affect neighbor value.

This creates a high traffic crossing on Chisholm Trail which would be a higher risk for pedestrians (specifically school children) for no significant benefit. It also would presents an increased hazard for people turning left from Red Rock onto Lake near a bend in the road that provides a limited view of oncoming traffic. The Spring Canyon alternative also has the same drawbacks. All of these options are a significant and unnecessary expense with no real benefit to the public.

Would like to see the traffic study on Dunns Canyon Road thus requiring another road linking Lake Rd to Sparta Rd. Stop building homes in those area.

Destroying a beautiful neighborhood, opening to more bulgers, endangering young children attending all levels of schools.

This road is unbelievably dangerous and unnecessary and it will spark a realignment of our city council, mayor and all elected officials in our city maybe it’s time to start voting for a different administration in Belton

This road will change the nature of our neighborhood. Our well-used walking paths will be decreased. Children who walk and bike to school (since limited bus service) will face increased danger.

This road is unnecessary. The city of Belton has grown fast and traffic is an issue. But placing a highway through a family-oriented neighborhood that contains three schools is absurd. This is a money grab for someone and puts children, families, and peace of mind at risk.

This expansion cuts through a large residential area which will bring in more crime and lowering property values. Families moved to this area avoiding busy streets, and the city wants to run one through Dawson Ranch. This is a very expensive, unnecessary project that probably is tied to the boondoggle to connect Belton Lake to Stillhouse. What a scam that one is! If they don’t have water, we don’t either. We need to clean house and get better people managing the city, if these projects both proceed. You will NOT improve anything about life in Belton, but you WILL decrease safety and erode property value and quality of life with this ridiculous road extension. If you’re so sure it’s such a great idea, why don’t you run it in back of YOUR house? Think about that. Better yet, protect our property values and offer a guarantee to buy any affected homes after this extension at FULL appraised value before the extension. There are 650 homes in Dawson Ranch, and every one of them will be affected. If you can’t stand behind a guarantee like that, you have no business inflicting this on any Belton citizens. Gale McGraw

This would bisect our quiet neighborhood and bring unwanted noise pollution and traffic.

This proposal will make the roadway my child travels to school on unsafe.
