As a Louisiana constituent, I am urging to not send any kids, whether you deem them of adult kind or not, to Angola. We cannot send our youth to an institution that represents racial oppression and poor conditions. Mass incarceration is not the answer, rehabilitation and preventative resources are key necessities for our troubled youth.

It would be a crime against humanity and completely immoral to send children who have severe developmental disabilities, like Autism Spectrum Disorder, to any prison!!! It would also be ridiculous to send children to prison who have not committed intentional, violent and heinous crimes to prison!!!

CHILDREN should not be housed with ADULTS. Stop seeing our Black and Brown BABIES as ADULTS. They need to be nurtured and protected.

Don’t throw away kids. Reform, teach, and offer them an alternative. They have long lives ahead of them and need to learn how to contribute positively to society.
