I cannot believe that I have to write the governor against this wild idea to bring children from the juvenile justice system to Angola. Children deserve a safe space to be rehabilitated and to get access to the resources they need to get on a new path on life. Sending them to Angola does NOTHING to help them move forward.

Don't do this. The Juvenile system is supposed to be designed to rehabilitate youth, not mainstream them to a maximum security prison and again they are juveniles. They can go to a halfway - house facility and give them skills to prepare them for their transition to society.

This is a travesty of youth justice. Instead of rehabilitation and treatment, you would consign them to a prison notorious for its human rights abuses. You should be ashamed.
