As a retired FCPS teacher, I am very aware of what happens when borders are changed arbitrarily. Since the Loudoun Valley schools are already overcrowded, moving in more neighborhoods is not a solution, only another problem. NH

Please do not change the zoning for KPF and Virginia Manor schools, this would significantly affect our family and quality of life we sought when we bought our house in Aldie.

I support this petition as Stone hill middle school is already exceeding capacity and some grades have to house in Rock Ridge high school due to the space issue at SHMS. I don't encourage this move/option in this situation.

I strongly support kids attend school in their neighborhood instead temporary arrangement for 2/3 years.
If this requires additional capacities or expedited planning to construct new schools LCPS should take it option 1.
LCPS board members generally do not accept reasonable request from the parents and kids. Hopefully this time LCPS board will listen to this constituent request to change this un-reasonable plan.

There should be an Option 4 wherein construction of the upcoming MS and HS are expedited to be complete before the 2018 school season begins. This would at least ensure attendance at the same HS for all four years and bring execution of planning back into focus with all the development our local government has been permitting to be built. I am also opposed to the increased busing distances caused by Option 3 which create expense and needless risk during the longer rides from both traffic incidents and the mixing of HS adult-aged students with MS students as young as 10-years old. If that condition comes to pass then LCPS needs to add an additional adult monitor on theses buses which is also an expense paid by taxes. Finally, LCPS is very resistant to using trailer-classrooms which have been successfully used nation-wide for years as a solution to surges in student population. This attitude needs to change so that our children can go to school in their own neighborhood. Finally, I would like to know if our property taxes will be reduced under Option 3 since my home-value is reduced under that plan.

Our kids need to go to schools in their own neighborhood, this is a safety issue, traffic issue and will put a big strain on families and communities!
