I understand the need to address the overcrowding at Mercer but the county needs to understand the impact to the quality of the student's education, the anticipated low attendance in after school activities and events, and the impact on the family life situation when commuting children to/from school. More time will be spent commuting as traffic is extremely congested to/from 50, Belmont Ridge, 606 (Loudoun County Parkway). These roads are already faced with high traffic volume and ongoing construction, we don't need to add more traffic to these roads.

It is an undue hardship on these children to split them from their peer group at a point when being connected to friends is so critical. Also, this is a commute by bus that will take 45 minutes due to the horrific traffic in between the two communities in the mornings. That is also an undue hardship.

It is very hard to pick up students from so far after school activities. etc..
or dropping them so far.. we are very very against it KPF resident

Stop building more homes until more schools are built to accommodate the incoming students. When one community alone has approx 1000 homes that should be an indication of influx and builders have to submit plans for the communities they are developing.

I am sorry but this doesn't make sense. Why should our kids go to distant schools when there are well established schools right in the neighborhood. One of the biggest reason for moving into this community was good schools. Please don't take that away from us. Our kids would have to spend hours in bus instead of focusing on their education. Why should a 12 year old community face this issue when the newer communities take the advantage of schools that are well established. If you must do this division then make the newer communities go to the distant schools.

Crossing over RT 50 is not a good option for our community. The traffic would be horrible and the bus rides long. Currently, we are able to walk to our schools if needed which helps with after school activities and working parents. Our community participation would decrease.

This is ridiculous. Do not know why LCPS is disturbing the current environment. How come they do not understand parent situation. This would mean that my son will have to go to a school that is 25 minutes away from my house compared to which was 5 minutes. This is really absurd and would like LCPS to stop this proposal.

Please do not bud our kids out of our neighborhood! This commute will be way too much for them! We purchased our house in our community because the elementary school is part of our development ! This is just wrong!

I would like my kids to go to schools near to home, instead of spending time on commute to school, this will also impact parents work schedules . Its disadvantage to home buyers, buying homes in these communities, with these schools as their focal point, now it doesnt justfy the home buyers. With the traffic volume on route 50, its tough to drop kids in school, creates logistical nightmares for parents dropping kids to school when they miss the bus.
