No I moved into this neighborhood so that my kids can be near the schools not be bussed away! Send kids that are near that school to that school doesn't make sense! Trying to get thru traffic will be a nightmare! Stop building homes until u get the schools and streets caught up!!

Please consider the housing zones that straddle route 50 to move to Stone Hill vs VA Manor. The zones near 50 are closer and their commutes would be more manageable.

As a home owner at Kirkpatrick Farms community in Aldie, VA (loudoun county school zone DS12.2 / Blue Ridge district), I support this petition AGAINST option 3 of LCPS staff recommendation to send students in our community to Stone Hill MS and Rock Ridge HS.

The plan to ship our kids to Stone Hill and Rock Ridge is a bad one for many reasons. Please create a plan that keeps them in our community for their social and emotional well being during this critical time in the maturation process.

We have perfectly good schools within walking distance of our homes yet some one has the bright idea to have them spend hours on a bus to go to a school farther away. Why?? Rezone those closer to the ashburn schools. Don't make the kids suffer. So much for family time or extra caricular activities. You can't let this pass!

No to Option #3!!! Make no sense to bus kids from south of Braddock Road to north of Rt. 50 to another community for schools. It would be traffic nightmares and prevent kids from other activities. Please do not to rezone DS12.2.

I am strongly against option 3 which would send our kids to Stone MS. To be on a bus for over 40 minutes in traffic, to be sent to another school and away from their friends is unacceptable. We currently love 2 miles away from Mercer, makes no sense to send them across the county to a whole new school. The social adjustment and transition would be unfair to them.

Definitely No to option 3. It does not make any sense for kids to travel more than 1/2 an hour one-way to school everyday. I completely agree with the first comment by Armstrong : A brand new community with thousands of home are popping up every month, with zero planning for the roads or schools to accommodate the growing population.

This plan (3) makes no sense. Why are KPF children being re-zoned and not the kids in South Riding - which is closer to Ashburn? I imagine South Riding is better represented on the Board of Supervisors. This is another example of how the big developers have gotten rich by building on every available square inch of land with little to no responsibility to the county residents. The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors (specifically Matt Letourneau) has failed to manage this issue proactively. He managed to get the bond approved for the Dulles South Multipurpose Center (in South Riding BTW) which is being completed in less than a year. Unfortunately, our middle school age kids can rock climb and swim in the indoor pool but can't go to a school within a 45 minute drive of home. It's pretty easy to quantify the growth rate as a measure of permit requests. The Board members should all be voted out if they can't figure a way to fix this.

The impact of making children commute that far on both the children and parents is ludicrous. The ability to participate in any after hours activities directly affects each and every family. Please reconsider this!
