Time for student study and teacher grading provides more educational value than the brief time for extra instruction.

Give the teachers a chance to properly do their jobs, and it is unfair for students to test as much as they do anyways I have never seen so much testing and than the teachers have to cram their curriculum with in a 20-25 day session when they are testing no wonder you claim the kids are not learning Mr Thornton the poor teachers are not allowed to teach them properly as time is concerned . I am a parent and the half of days would be good for my daughter to have more time to study instead of staying up late to get the proper study time in along with homework. Shame on you !!!!!!!

They need to bring the half days back. It's crazy how the school systems are getting. They need to show favor to the students of the school systems or they just won't have schools.

Coming from someone who isn't well off the offering of breakfast and lunch is helpful but these attributes of the school day aren't taken away when half days occur. Lunch just becomes optional at the end of the half day. The warmth and roof of the school is still available for after school activities and will encourage other unfortunate students to participate in after school activities during half days, which is also a something that is strongly recommended on college applications. School also leaves a great deal of mental fatigue on me and my peers almost everyday. These half days would allow many to relieve the daily mental stress from sitting in school from 7-8 hours throughout the weekdays. Most of the time on the weekends I spend doing school work as well. Half days prove to be helping immensely for students who hasn't given up on school. Penalizing the students and teachers with no half days will only result in a negative way amongst students and teachers. -Digital Harbor

Students need time to recover from testing and start new instruction with a fresh mind, and teachers need time to grade and prepare. Please re-institute the half day exam schedule.
