I'm a musician. I am very passionate about songwriting, playing, and the entire process of making music. This class is a slap in the face of everyone like me, all my friends who share my passion.

These Silicon Valley AI robber barons should be in prison. Biggest art heist in human history. Berklee leadership having ties with it is shameful. You're damaging your own, and taking part in destroying culture. People who are involved in this should just resign

This is one of my dream school's and I wouldn't like any tool that uses gallons of water to replace one of the most powerful storytelling methods.

I support the genuine creativity of student musicians and composers and strongly oppose the invasion of opportunistic capitalist led AI.

I won’t deny AI has a place in music making. But it’s not this. Suno stands for everything musicians should be fighting against in regards to AI – hot garbage that rips from other artists, and requires no effort whatsoever. Isn’t that what making music is all about? The effort?

Music is art. There is no reason to erase its process for a product that isn't even good.

As a musician and songwriter I don't want AI stealing my ideas or the ideas of others who inspire me and who I admire as artists. I also believe that music artistry is something that is learned, and that process truly helps you grow as a musician. There should not be any short cuts.

As a music in education student I know that the most fun part of music is making it yourself together with other people. Both for me and the kids I teach. The CEO of Suno thinks learing to make music is not fun because it takes effort. Which is the opinion of only a small minority. I that I haven't even started talking about al the ethical problems of Suno: like training their models on music without compensating the musicians, writers, producers, ect. ...

As a Berklee alum, this is utterly disgusting. I can't even begin to explain the embarassment and shame I feel from my alma mater. This is an institution that is meant to foster and promote creativity. A name this big has the power to change the tide, but they are instead choosing to contribute to big tech thay is actively hurting artists. Shame on them.

I graduated from berklee in 2019 and I am disgusted to see how far they’ve fallen. Generative AI is already stealing from small artists. They need to do better.

As a young musician and songwriter, it really saddens me to see that my dream uni has become a place that offers courses on topics such as AI which are slowly affecting many artists who have worked so hard to get where they are today, and makes the next generation of artists and emerging songwriters feel so unsure about the future.

If Musicians spend a good portion of their time in a A.I. generated music environment, they will became brain dead and lose the real skills they need for true creativity.

I plan to go to Berklee, and I am wholly disappointed that such a prestigious college would stoop this low. Music belongs to humans.

Music is an art form that stems from human emotions and experiences, AI cannot replicate that.
