This capricious and ill conceived ordinance is causing an unintended detrimental economic effect on hobby shops and retailers at worst possible time, the holidays! Sales have plummeted precipitously causing unnecessary financial hardship.
Please don't ban fpv. We do not want to destroy property, yours or ours. We are not the criminal element, and no regulations or ban will keep the criminal element from committing crimes.
There's no reason to publish an entire community over the actions of a few. I think that people that do stupid things with their drones should be punished, but the majority of the Fpv flyers pose no risk to the public.
As a small business owner of www.uav-rc.com I'm not for this matter in the county of Los Angeles this will hurt my business and take away fun from thousands of people. This is like saying we are going to ban automobiles because people are crashing and hurting others on a daily basis. If you feel the need to contact me please visit my website listed above. I've enjoyed over 8 000 safe FPV flights at the Apollo RC field in Van Nuys and would like to keep enjoying this beautiful hobby.

Drones and FPV theory are being used by schools as an excellent application for students STEMs and PLTW programs. Banning drones would stymy this effort.
